Congratulations to the WKFL
With season 2009 now over, I just wanted to express my congratulations to Cable Beach as Premiers but also importantly to Graeme Gordon and the Club Presidents for pulling the competition back on course both off the field and on it. It is pleasing to hear of the financial turnaround within one season and still without a fence at Haynes Oval.
However, the great work doesn't stop now and the WKFL needs to start planning early for season 2010 to ensure the improvements continue. I'd love to see a return to representative football, the good old hit outs between the West Kimberley and East Kimberley or Central Kimberley and the Pilbara. Lets reward the standout players and coaches in our league that perform so strongly and pit them against other leagues.
Imagine the team the WKFL could throw together based solely on this season.
